My talent is in the area of writing poems. I started writing poems 13 years ago. I have a book where I write down poems.

I've written beautiful poems about so many things e.g a poem to nature, about Easter, Christmas, my best friend, a poem to my father, my husband, (am still single though😁) and etc. Below is a screen shot of few pages of my poem book.

I can look at a situation or an event an create a poem about it. I have my writing moments. I do not write everytime. The poems I write always comes as inspiration. Some are touching, some funny, some make you cry and some bring smiles to the face. Going to share with us one of the poems I wrote. I titled it "My monthly blessing". I dedicated this poem to every woman. Growing up I experienced serious menstrual cramps as a young girl and still do. Most times I would throw up, be every weak and can't eat the whole day. I literally spend the first two days in pains. So on this fateful afternoon, I was in so much pain and was restless. I was actually crying and I didn't know what to do because even pain relief tablets do not work sometimes for me. So while I was crying, I suddenly had this thought to write a poem about my monthly period. So I wrote the poem and titled it "My monthly blessing". I was being positive amidst the pain and troubles I was going through. So relax and enjoy the ride through my monthly blessing.

My monthly blessing

To life it's a blessing
To womanhood a blessing
Without the blood its lessing
Though it could be painful
When it's meant to be blissful
But it makes life beautiful
Though on all sides am thronged
But I have to be strong
Because for my person it's not wrong
So I have to be bold
Like a lioness not on hold
Neither letting my joy grow cold
Nor my strength so old
Through this my husband of me will be proud
To shout in the street so loud
With so great a sound
To the quaking of the ground
Because I brought forth a son
Before the shining sun
Oh what a day of happiness
Makes me forget my dizziness
Leaving no time for laziness
Cos am in for real business

Let me add a little poem I glance through when I want to give up. I Tittled it "fired up".
It's gives me courage to always continue pushing even when things don't seem to be working. Hope it will fire you up too.

Fired up

Until you aspire
You cannot inspire.
From God's word always hire
All that you require
to meet your hearts desire
When things wrongly transpire
And profusely you perspire
Pls do not retire
Rather from his word respire
And from within fan up the fire
For with these you can never expire

Hope you are fired up to keep steeming.
I've written over 50poems and they are contained in my poem book.
