Hello to my steemians ladies of the steem womenclub. Hope all of us are on a good footing this bright afternoon. I am more than moved to present to us concerning table etiquette.

It is a habit to see families invite other families for dinner or super. A good meal can only be shared in good a company and particular with friends. Through meals, family issues and conflicts are resolved, friendship is enhanced, contracts are signed; peace love and harmony reign and above all wisdom is shared.

But when a meal is ready, with a good and inviting aroma, how can we further boost the appetite of family and guests? There is just one way, put the food in beautiful dishes, set and decorate the table. The picture below will enable us set tables in a convenient manner.

Never start eating before a signal from the host to do so.
Good table etiquette sometimes involves a degree of diplomacy when it comes to the host's choice of food and wine! Even if you feel that you can do better, don't ever offer your criticism. If you feel unable to pay any compliments, at least remain silent on the subject.

It is good table etiquette to serve the lady sitting to the right of the host first, then the other ladies in a clockwise direction, and lastly the gentleman.
Hold the knife and fork with the handle in the palm of the hand, four fingers on top, and thumb underneath.

If the food presented to you is not of your liking, it is polite to at least make some attempt to eat small amount of it.
Always make it a point of necessity to thank the host and hostess for their hospitality before leaving.
