Steem Women Club Contest #15 D.I.Y (Do It Yourself) Art | D.I.Y Paper Book Mark

Good day steemnians! How's life going on? I hope you're doing fine despite all of the circumstances that happen in our life.

I wanted to share with you my entry to the new contest about D.I.Y (Do It Yourself) that was initiated by the #steemwomanclub community.
When I heard D.I.Y, I have so many ideas since I love making crafts out of recycled materials. Below are some of the artworks when I was a student.

Today, I am excited to share with you one of my useful D.I.Y that I currently loving it. Since I am studying for the upcoming board exam, the bookmark is very useful for me. I can easily insert my bookmark to the page I stop reading and I can able to continue reading it next time. I also use my D.I.Y bookmark in my daily devotional book. Now, I am happy to share with you how I make my D.I.Y BOOKMARK.

MATERIALS NEEDED

• Pair of scissors
• Glue
• Bond paper
• Colored paper/Construction paper
• Markers
  

Here are the steps that will help you on how to make the bookmark

• STEP 1: Using your bond paper, divide it into two pieces equally. After, get one piece of it and fold it diagonally to make a perfect square shape.

• STEP 2: Using your square shape bond paper, twist your paper to make a diamond shape. Bring the bottom corner to the top and fold it properly.

• STEP 3: Now, bring the pointy corner up to the center. Do it on both sides.

• STEP 4: Open and flap down the center part of the paper.

• STEP 5: Bring the pointy corner up to the center again and tuck it under. Do it on both sides.

• STEP 6: Next, it's time to make the face of the bookmark. Draw an inverse U letter for the eyes and draw some lines on top of it for the eyelashes.

• STEP 7: Finally, draw a big U letter for the mouth and cut small circles out of pink-colored paper for the blush. Now, there you go. The simplest Paper bookmark D.I.Y.
  

At last, you can now enjoy using your bookmark. This time it is not hard for you to find the page where you ended reading.
