Hello steemians, I'm pleased to be posting for the first time in this wonderful community of like minds.
MY JOURNEY TO IMO STATE
It started on the 23rd, of April that I journeyed to Awo Oma-mma situated in Imo state Nigerian.
The journey was by road and anyone that uses road transport for movement will know that, it is not fun because of the attitude of the driver, conductor and passengers as well as road safety officers who stood at every check points to collect money and also guilding the road against criminal activities.
ABOUT IMO STATE
Imo state situated in Eastern Nigeria, Owerri is the capital of Imo state and home to the Igbo people. It's well known for its plethora of hotels, bars, restaurants, and clubhouses, which has earned it a reputation as Nigeria's entertainment center.
when I alighted at Control in Imo State I saw a sculptured masterpiece statue at the center of the four corners road.
I also saw a cathedral where Catholic follows goes to worship their God.
the road is also full of motorist and their conductors who are looking for customers, I escape an attack from one of the motorists who wanted me to enter his vehicle.
The road is always buzzing with activities at all times with social workers on the road looking for patronizers.
THE WEALTH I DISCOVERED IN IMO STATE
Imo state has an abundance of fruits like mangoes, banana, peas, cashews, plantain, etc. compared to Port Harcourt where I stay. The fruit they sell in Imo state is so fresh and nourishing to the body.
AWO OMA-MMA
when I arrived Awo Oma-mma (Northeast of Niger Delta) I discovered that it is an oil-rich town, with different locations where palm oil are milled.
I also saw the river called Njaba River and its flowing water.
Awo omamma is a potential tourism hub in the region due to its specie of wildlife in Umuezukwe and green vegetation.
CONCLUSION
My journey to Awo Oma-mma was a successful one because I achieved what took me to the state itself, and i discovered the beauty of the state. Also my journey back was a smooth ride.
