Hola mis queridas amigas de Steemwomenclub, estoy feliz de estar nuevamente por esta hermosa comunidad de mujeres creativas, luchadoras y emprendedoras.

Después de un tiempo de estar ausente he vuelto para compartir con ustedes un proyecto de transformación muy bonito. Renovar y reutilizar cosas es algo que me gusta mucho hacer, mis proyectos de manualidades casi siempre incluyen un objeto reciclado. Darle una nueva función a un objeto es como darle una nueva oportunidad de ser útil. Además de que resulta muy favorecedor para nuestra economía y estimula nuestra creatividad.

Hello my dear friends from Steemwomenclub, I am happy to be once again for this beautiful community of creative women, fighters and entrepreneurs.
After being away for a while, I have returned to share with you a very nice transformation project. Renovating and reusing things is something I really like to do, my craft projects almost always include a recycled object. Giving an object a new function is like giving it a new chance to be useful. Besides that it is very favorable for our economy and stimulates our creativity.

El proyecto que les traigo hoy es la elaboración de un linda cesta que cumplirá la función de costurero, bueno en mi caso, ese será el uso que le voy a dar. Me encantaría tener mi propio espacio creativo, organizado y decorado a mi gusto, sé que por ahora no es posible, pero por lo menos quiero personalizar cada uno de los objetos que van a formar parte de dicho espacio.

Esta cesta la voy a elaborar usando como base, un envase de lavaplatos en crema. Es por ello que será una transformación en la cual un simple envase de lavaplatos se transformará en una linda y practica cesta para guardar hilos, alfileres, botones y más.

The project that I bring you today is the elaboration of a beautiful basket that will serve as a sewing kit, well in my case, that will be the use that I am going to give it. I would love to have my own creative space, organized and decorated to my liking, I know that for now it is not possible, but at least I want to personalize each of the objects that will be part of that space.

I am going to make this basket using a cream dishwasher container as a base. That is why it will be a transformation in which a simple dishwasher container will be transformed into a beautiful and practical basket to store threads, pins, buttons and more.

A patch of patterned fabric
Anti-allergic padding
Pair of scissors
Wick thread
Knitting needles
Liquid silicon

Lo primero que hice, fue marcar la base del envase en la tela para obtener una circunferencia, la que me servirá para realizar el forro interno del envase.

The first thing I did was to mark the base of the container on the fabric to obtain a circumference, which will be used to make the inner lining of the container.

Recortar con mucho cuidado la circunferencia en la tela.

Very carefully cut out the circumference on the fabric.

Recortar un rectángulo en la tela lo suficientemente largo para que cubra todo el lateral del envase plástico.

Cut a rectangle out of the fabric long enough to cover the entire side of the plastic container.

Sujetar con alfileres la base circular con la parte lateral, para fijarla bien antes de coser.

Pin the circular base to the side part to fix it well before sewing.

Coser la circunferencia y los laterales para obtener el forro de la parte interna de la cesta.

Sew the circumference and the sides to obtain the lining of the inner part of the basket.

Colocar el relleno en el envase repartiéndolo equitativamente y pegarlo al plástico con un poco de silicón líquido.

Place the filling in the container, distributing it evenly and stick it to the plastic with a little liquid silicone.

Colocar el forro de tela sobre el relleno y ajustar bien en el envase.

Place the fabric lining over the padding and fit tightly into the container.

Pegar con silicón líquido el sobrante de tela en la parte externa del envase.

Stick the excess fabric with liquid silicone on the outside of the container.

Para la parte externa, teji una cadeneta muy larga con el hilo pábilo en dos hebras de color crema y marrón claro.

For the outer part, I made a very long chain with the wick yarn in two strands of cream and light brown.

Luego fui pegando la cadeneta en forma de espiral al envase, hasta forrar por completo la parte externa.

Then I was gluing the chain in a spiral shape to the container, until the external part was completely covered.

Para que no se enrede la cadeneta, se puede ir tejiendo a medida que vamos pegando.

So that the chain does not get tangled, it can be knitted as we stick.

El sobrante de tela que pegamos anteriormente al envase, lo vamos cubriendo con la cadeneta hasta terminar de cubrir todo el envase.

The excess fabric that we previously glued to the container, we cover it with the chain until we finish covering the entire container.

Para finalizar, adorné con un lindo lazo de cinta de raso en color lila.

To finish, I adorned with a cute lilac satin ribbon bow.

Finalmente, ya ha quedado transformado el envase de lavaplatos en un bonito y útil costurero. Espero les agrade este proyecto y quizá se animen a realizarlo.
