Good evening everyone and a big shout out to all the mothers and soon to be mothers in the whole world,my love for womanhood can never be overemphasized and am glad that on this special day which has been marked out to celebrate mothers all over the world that @steemwomen community is holding such a lovely contest and am glad to participate.

Growing up as a kid with my grandparents instead of my mum wasn't that Cool for me as most of my friends will always talk about how they spent time with their parents especially mother but at a point when my mum got remarried I started feeling the love that my friends always talk about.

Mum wasn't proud of me calling her mum because she was trying to maintain her reputation in the neighborhood she was living but after she got married my step father made it mandatory that I call her mum and that she must be proud of me calling her mum,wow..... I feel good calling her mum instead of Auntie as I used to.

Getting closer to my mum unveil a lot about womanhood for me,she taught me so many things,all the dishes I know how to cook today was mum who taught me,everything I know about myself and my relationship with any guy am to date was all the handiwork of the most amazing mother I have.I always smile because mum will always tell me "Amarachi,if you know anything that will make you happy in this life,don't hesitate to do it,life is only one,don't come and kill yourself". These are my mom's exact words whenever I tell her about any challenge and she lives by her words.

Because mum stays in aba while I stay in umuahia,distance hinders me from spending quality time with her but today being the mother's day celebration,I told myself no matter how busy I am,that I must attend the celebration in aba,and I did.

My mum is the best mum in the whole world and even if there be an after life or another life after this life I have,she will still be my mum.
So many girls get pregnant as a result of mistake or because they are young and naive and all they do is abort the child but mum never aborted me,despite the shame and rejection she went through during her pregnancy of me,she never thought of aborting me.

On this fateful day,I didn't have anything to offer her but all I was able to give my mum was an Infinix hot 6 phone which was my previous phone,I also gave her some cash and I was able to make her proud in front of the congregation when the pastor asked that we use money and walk them back to their seat.
