Previously, thanks to @steemwomensclub for organizing this great contest with the theme Homemade Healthy Drink Recipes. According to the theme, today I will share a recipe for my family's favorite healthy drink made from vegetables, namely "Kale Juice the King of Vegetables".
INGREDIENTS
KALE
Has anyone ever consumed Kale? Kale is one of the healthiest and most nutritious plant foods, even earning the nickname “King of Vegetables”. Kale is loaded with all kinds of beneficial compounds, some of which have powerful medicinal properties. Come on, some of the benefits of Kale for health.
Kale contains very little fat, and the fat in it is an Omega-3 fatty acid called alpha-linolenic acid. Providing the lowest nutrient content, Kale is one of the most nutrient-dense foods available. Kale is also the highest natural source of lutein found in nature. Lutein, along with other carotenoid antioxidants, plays an important role in maintaining eye health, including preventing early age degeneration, the development of cataracts, and vision damage.
Kale is one of the best sources of vitamin K in the world. Vitamin K is an essential nutrient for blood clotting, helping to prevent heart disease and osteoporosis.
Kale is best consumed fresh, made into juices or smoothies. Vegetables that are consumed freshly, preferably organic vegetables, to avoid chemical toxins. It would be even better if the vegetables were grown independently because you can be sure they are free from toxins.
The Kale I use comes from my garden. I like gardening, Kale is one of the vegetables in my garden.
PINEAPPLE
Pineapple is a fruit that knows no season. This refreshing sweet and sour fruit can easily be found all the time. In terms of nutritional content, pineapple fruit, among others, has a source of regulatory substances, namely vitamins and minerals that are needed by the body.
Pineapple is not only rich in nutrients but also rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants are molecules that help the body fight oxidative stress. These free radicals interact with body cells and cause damage associated with chronic inflammation, a weakened immune system, and many dangerous diseases.
Pineapple has been a part of traditional medicine for centuries. This fruit contains various kinds of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes such as bromelain which collectively can increase immunity and suppress inflammation.
HONEY
The health benefits of honey are obtained from its various nutritional content. Honey contains many active compounds, such as vitamins, flavonoids, phenolic acids, and carotenoids.
The sweetness of honey that comes from sugar makes it excellent for increasing stamina, especially when exercising or working.
In addition, honey can strengthen the body's immune cells, prevent and relieve inflammation, prevent allergic reactions, and prevent diabetes, heart attacks, and cancer.
The benefits of honey to improve health are not in doubt. Even so, consumption of honey should not be excessive, considering that this liquid is high in calories and sugar.
PROCESS
Clean the Kale and Pineapple
The Kale I use is free of chemical toxins because I grow it myself. Even so, the Kale is washed clean because it will be consumed fresh. The peeled pineapple is also washed first to remove the sap. So it doesn't itch.
Kale and Pineapple Blender
Enter the Kale and Pineapple into the machine, then add a little water until the Kale and Pineapple sink, then blend until smooth.
Filter and Add Honey
The Kale and Pineapple that have been smooth are then filtered to separate the pulp. If you want to consume it without filtering, it is also good. Next, add honey according to taste. If you don't want it to be too sweet, then don't give too much honey.
PRESENT
Kale Juice the King of Vegetables is ready to serve. The combination of Kale, Pineapple, and Honey. Which are rich in benefits are very good for our body. Moreover, Kale is harvested from the garden. It can be sure to be free from the dangers of chemical toxins.
