Steemit firmly recommends users post posts (photos and videos) that are free of plagiarism. Plagiarism is the theft of someone else's essay. Plagiarism also does not refer to only written works. But also videos, music, ideas, designs, and so on

To better understand what plagiarism is, I also quote the meaning of plagiarism according to plagiarism.org
that is quoted from the Merriam-Webster online dictionary, "to plagiarize" means:
  • to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own
  • to use (another's production) without crediting the source
  • to commit literary theft
  • to present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source

What is the scope of plagiarism?

To avoid plagiarism, it would be nice if we know the scope of plagiarism first.

  1. Recognizing other people's work as one's own, whether in the form of writing, ideas, audio or audio-visual.
  2. Using data and information belonging to other people without mentioning the source.
  3. Citing the words or sentences of other authors without mentioning the source link.

So, how to add a source in our post?

  1. Use markdown ">" at the beginning of words. Then, write down the sentence quoted by you.
  2. Include a link to the source of your citation at the end of the quote. Use this markdown to make it easier for you.
  3. Done.
