in hive-188403 •  4 years ago  (edited)
When I was in high school, I was active in dance activities at school. At that time, the school held a competition through the OSIS Cup activity. In that activity, several friends and I were asked by the school to present an appearance (performing art). And All the necessary things are borne by the school. Including the clothes, I'm wearing.

If we buy this shirt directly at a special souvenir shop, the price varies. The price is Starting from 400,000 rupiahs (55 Steem) up to millions of rupiahs. At that time, we did not buy this dress. We only rent for wearing in 1x24 hours for 100,000 rupiahs. It is including bonus makeup from the service provider. According to today's Steem price at 03:57 p.m on Upbit Indonesia 1 Steem = Rp. 7.183, it is mean that at that time, we rented for around 14 Steem.

As part of the treasures of Indonesia's wealth, Aceh Province also has traditional dance costumes that are incredibly beautiful. Hundreds of years ago, the dress was wear for royal events and traditional ceremonies of the great kingdoms in Aceh.

In general, traditional Acehnese dance clothing is divided into three parts: top, middle, and bottom.

1. The clothes
The clothes worn by the dancers are clothes that cover all parts of the body. The dancers also wear headscarves as head coverings. It is all influenced by Islamic values that have been stuck in the chest.

2. Songket sarong
Songket sarong is a cloth that must be worn when wearing pants To display the authority of the dancer. The average length of this Songket sarong from the waist to the knee is about 10 centimeters.

3. The pants used are loose to make it easier for the dancers to demonstrate dance movements.

Philosophy

The design of this traditional dance dress is strongly influenced by Islamic culture. It is proof that Islamic teachings have a big share in the development of Acehnese culture. There are five color combinations in this shirt. The use of these five colors has its philosophy and meaning, which are as follows.
1. Yellow color: contains the meaning of the sultanate.
2. Green color: symbolizes Islam.
3. Black color: contains the meaning of firmness.
4. Red color: reflects the nature of heroism.
5. White color: reflects the symbol of purity.

I invite all women in the community and outside the steem women club community to take part in this contest which will end in the next dozen hours.
