Greetings beautiful women of this community, this is an update on the post I made about my visit to Nunku village. You can read the post here

My friends and I went to visit a school in Nunku village on the 28th of May, 2021 to celebrate children's day which normal take place on the 27th of May in Nigeria, on getting to the school we saw the state of things and we decided to help. The head teacher complain that they don't have enough man power (teachers) in the school, My other friend who run an NGO decided to take the responsibility to employ teachers for the school while I took the responsibility to get the students school uniforms and writing aids because of what I saw the first day we went to the school. Most of the students last basic things to learn and it's quite sad.

After the visit on the 28th of May, I made a post seeking for help and I am so grateful for the help I got for this project from steemcurator01 and @pennsif and to everyone that made this project a reality in one way or the other, I say a big thank you!

We went back to the community today 11th June 2021, to present the school uniforms and the writing aids and also to create awareness about child's labour and the importance of education to a child.

On getting to the school we inform the headteacher and we were directed to the town hall as we also made plans to speak with the parents of the pupils. We were very happy at the turn out today, the parents came out in mass.
We were able to educate them about the need to educate their children and child labour is a crime.

The speech about child's labour lasted for about 45 minutes and some of the parents asked questions and made contributions, they were all happy we came and they know better now.
After the speech we recognized the presence of some dignitaries in our mist and move straight to presenting the school uniforms and writing aids.
We were able to get the kids books, pencils, crayon, eraser, chalk, pen and file.

We thank God for the privilege to be able to give and impact life in our own little way and for the success of this program.

I plan to do more of rural school charity in our community as we've noticed rural education is really lacking alot of basic things. I also have plans to customized the books and pencils with steem logo on our next program and if we can add school bags and scandals.

I find it a great privilege to be able to give hope to these children and their parents, opening their eyes to the fact that all will be well regardless of their situation and special thanks to Steem for helping us to impact our world.

Best Regards
