How to make beads using old magazine

Introduction

Have you ever ran out of beads when doing your crafts or design? Well, here's your solution. As long as you have some old magazine paper lying around, you are going to be fine. And it is also a good way to recycle the magazine.

Requirements

  • An old magazine
  • A pair of scissors
  • A ruler
  • A pen
  • Glue
  • Some toothpicks

Procedure

  • Mark along one edge of the paper for every two centimeters using the pen and the ruler starting at 0.

  • Mark along the other edge for every two centimeters starting at one.
  • Draw the triangles across the paper using the pen, ruler and the graduation.

  • After that, cut up the triangles using the pair of scissors.
  • Using one of the toothpicks, wrap the triangle around the toothpick tightly starting from the base of the triangle.

  • When reaching the edge, apply some glue and finish wrapping.
  • You'll follow the same steps for the rest of the triangles.

Conclusion

And just like that, you can make your beads out of paper. The sizes of the beads can be customized by adjusting the triangles. For the best professional results, apply varnish all around the beads.

These beads can be used to make bags, jewelry and other crafts. You can have fun with the patterns and colours.
