Another Day of Feeding and Grocery Giving | Thank You Steemit Community and Supporters

Today before the rain starts pouring, we started another chain of goodness event through all your support from my previous post and charity work together with my family to our neighborhood.

Me and my wife were just feel so blessed after she's able to go around with me after the Doctor took her out from bed rest and so far she is healthy and the baby. We still need your prayers so she and the baby will both survive and healthy during delivery.

Aside from all your support, my family's eagerness and happiness to do this with us is so encouraging. And today, we have another steemians in the family. Our nephews @jufranketchup @lealtafaith and niece @jess88 (I hope you will support them too!). They were our manpower today together with Mama and uncle Ruben.

Me, my wife @georgie84 and sister @sweetspicy collaborate with the finances out from the support we all received from our supporters (fellow steemians, MOD, admin, curators). It was less than two weeks ago from the last chain of goodness event we had. Just feels so good seeing our neighbors and more recipients who benefits our gift to them.

As much as we want to go to another place, our situation will not permit us this time due to my wife's situation, covid-19 cases, and that our neighborhood needs us especially the kids that's increasing coming to our feeding.

Preparation and Distribution
My sister @sweetspicy was the one who do the purchasing the other day and what I did for help was cooking, packing, distributing, guiding kids, and do after care.

We chose to have chicken porridge today since there was/is typhoon form the Northern part of our city and we think it would be good for the weather and so we can also buy more groceries for each family who would come and needs it. And since there's a lot of toddlers and young children, chicken porridge is also a healthy snacks for them.

We were able to distribute 25 grocery packs to 25 families. And they are the families who has a lot of children and has the least income. There were 2 canned sardines, 1 beefloaf (1 corned beef), 2 instant noodles, and 2 misua noodles. We chose these type of foods we give to them because 1 canned sardines is good paired with 2 misua noodle and it will feed a good number of household members. And a lot to use out of sardines. Beef loaf and corned beef are kids favorite, so mother's would have options what to took for them tonight and lastly, noodle soup is just perfect in any type of meal.

Before children and adults arrived and the rain starts pouring, we first arranged the groceries, have photo with family who extended help (for remembrance purposes too), then gather everyone for the activity.

We first distribute chicken porridge to the children and we asked if there parents would come. Those parents who couldn't come, we let them stay or come back for the grocery pack. If you can see, they are happy with the chicken porridge they had for snacks. This is why I am always pleased seeing these faces especially after you give them something even small but yet they really enjoy.

Adults had their porridge as well and at the same time, they had their groceries with them. There joy from these simple act and the way they repeatedly saying thank you is immeasurable knowing all these things we gave to them are all from steemit community supporters. And that's you!

We hope to gather school supplies for the children and 2 sacks of rice (50 kilos per sack), to distribute next time. We also impart the need for our recipients to be grateful, hopeful and prayerful during this time of crisis. If only they have android phones each in the family, could sustain cellphone load, eager to write (but most of them doesn't know how to use cellphones and writing communication is not that good), me and my family who's in the platform would love to teach them all about steemit. How they could earn and help others from the support we all get from you.

I am forever grateful as well to be part of this awesome family with a heart to help even when they don't have a lot financially. They taught me how to share blessings, be more loving to others, and generous with what I have. We will continue spreading kindness to people not just to our neighborhood but also to the people we met along our way.

Before doing the after care, there was a good amount of porridge left for us to enjoy as well. We had a happy tummy too! 😊
