Sometimes in life before you plan for the future, make sure you enjoy the present moment. Many people have been planning for the future that they never saw and did not enjoy the moment that they had. Enjoy every moment as if it is the last you have.
Breakfast
Everyone was already present giving a good sign for the the day. Today my friend and I were to handle the part of the training together since it is so demanding. Firstly Yvette began with the basic lectures on how to produce a slippers or sandals, the materials needed and how to choose a design for a slippers or sandals. After the lectures we distributed the various designs which they were to produce, cut their stencils and gave their materials to start working. They did this for the whole day, each person focused on her design. I was amazed at the rate of concentration as they haven't had such attention to their work till this particular one. It was good and they were gradually bringing out their various designs so well. By the time we closed some were finished with one side of their slippers and to my surprise it was the very slow trainees that were fast and excellent this time. This left them all smiling and excited as the went home by 5:15pm. I too I was satisfied and sleep with a lot of smiles on my face.
Explaining the basics about slippers and sandals making
On Wednesday they concentrated on completing their work all day. I left for a while to get the leather materials needed to complete the slippers and sandals. This took me quite some time but I was happy I got everything I needed.
materials bought
On Thursday everyone was present in the morning by the time we arrived there. Some were still struggling to finish their work so we gave them 1 hour to do that before beginning with the last task for the slippers which was to mount them. Time was taken to explain how to do this past and the importance which is less expensive when you have the materials than giving a shoe mender who charges high to mount a pair of slippers or sandals. Using their various shoe sizes, stencils were made and the various materials; Nora, micro sow and the sow were cut by each person so that they master the process. Using gum and other materials they mounted their slippers and sandals. This took about 4 hours to complete this. All the shoes were collected and taken to the shoe mender to file so that they can look beautiful. While this was being done trainees returned home at 3:00pm to prepare for the next day which was their graduation.
Finalising with the shoes
We returned home to do some preparations concerning refreshments for the next day as some people had been invited for the event.

These young ladies are really amazing, just being focused in learning shoe making is indeed tasking as it was thought to be men's profession but today women are getting involved. Thanks for sharing
