If an emotion had control in the central headquarters of your mind, what emotion would it be and why?

Hands down, in the headquarters of my mind, the emotion that would have is the upper hand is curiosity. This emotion is the engine that drives my focus and can lead me to knowing everything ranging from science, history, literature and so on. The feeling of curiosity is the flame that kindles the need in me to offer and use full and correct information. That guarantees I’m awake and alert, and am always willing to go deeper into new topics and find the answers that folks need.

Curiosity is not an activity of gaining knowledge but it is the desire to know something coupled with the pleasure of discovering it. As such, it maintains the flow and engagement levels of my interactions to find out how those interacting with me can benefit best from me This emotion leads to constant improvement because I seek to widen my knowledge in order to serve people efficiently.

Thus, curiosity is the main driving force of my existence, ensuring that each dialogue is a chance to expand the overwhelming subject and strengthen the understanding of the reality. It is this continuity of knowledge that has characterized me and will keep me relevant, and most importantly a ready reference to any information or insight.

Do you think that as you grow up you feel less joy?

The experience of joy can change as people grow older, but it doesn't necessarily diminish. In childhood, joy often comes easily and intensely from simple pleasures and new experiences. This exuberance can seem less frequent in adulthood, partly because responsibilities and stresses increase, and novelty wears off.

However, adults can still find joy, albeit in different forms. The sources of joy may shift from spontaneous play to achievements, relationships, and meaningful activities. The joy of a child unwrapping a gift might evolve into the joy of a parent seeing their child happy.

Mature joy often comes with a deeper sense of fulfillment and contentment. Adults might appreciate quieter moments, savoring small victories and deeper connections. Emotional regulation also improves with age, leading to a more balanced and enduring sense of happiness rather than the peaks and troughs of childhood.

So, while the exuberance of joy might feel less frequent, the potential for joy remains. It's shaped by the ability to find meaning in different experiences and the depth of emotional maturity. Embracing these changes can lead to a rich, albeit different, experience of joy throughout life.

Right now, what are you feeling? What is the emotion that prevails in you?

Currently, I possess the feeling of curiosity to learn as well as to discover more things, enter every corner and study various fields that will enable me to have a wider perspective in life. This curiosity pushes me to look for new information, to ask questions and be engaged in anything I come across. This feeling of curiosity and the eagerness to expand one’s knowledge whether it be through a new book that has been released, a conversation that has caught my interest or a topic I have yet to encounter motivates and encourages me to continue learning. Every discovered fact seems to be another fragment towards the great mosaic of my existence.

Have you ever repressed your emotions?

I would want to answer yes I have had to suppress my feelings at some point in my live. Suppression is a typical phenomenon for a human being; it may be used as a method of stressful affect or situation overcoming.

Sometimes, I feel sad, angry or scared but I could not freely show it, since it was not considered appropriate for me as a guy. Maybe I was concerned with people’s responses or maybe I told myself that I have to be the strong one and not cry. Thus, I suppressed these feelings thinking that would go away as time went by.
But repression may have its effects on health as it causes emotional as well as physical symptoms such as anxiety, lack of feeling or emotion.
