Question | What the Student Did Well | Areas for Improvement | Grading |
---|---|---|---|
Question 1 | Provided the course of action in this specific situation. Good work | keep in check the signs of shock. Kids tend to be more prone to these sort of trauma which can lead to a sudden shock. Though this burn was caused by tea but blisters can still be formed and we don't rule out the possibilities of blistering and its first aid approach | [Grade: 1.8] |
Question 2 | the student listed down the course of action for an electrical burn. Good work | Even though you switched off the electricity source, this still doesn't give you a free pass to not wear rubber gloves. Remember, better safe than sorry. Prioritize your own safety first. You can only help someone if you yourself are safe. | [Grade: 1.8] |
Question 3 | Listed the steps of managing an emergency chemical burning scenario. Excellent work | [Grade: 2] | |
Question 4 | The student managed to present their logic in choosing the answer. The ethics as well as the Triage dictate that the patient with a 2nd degree burn should be treated first as the patient with a third degree burn has his nerves damaged so currently he is not in severe pain whereas the patient with a 2nd degree burn might be going through excruciating pain and if not attended immediately would be left with grave consequences. | [Grade: 2] | |
Question 5 | the student managed to present an infographic. Infographics in the medicine field serve as important tool for having access to more information in a single place. These are typically necessary to have as a first aider. | [Grade: 2] |
General Feedback: The student has shown an excellent understanding of this week's course. There were a few shortcomings which I'm sure will be avoided in the upcoming posts.
Thank you.

First degree burns can also cause blisters. It was the task of the students to keep in mind all the possibilities of the things that could go wrong in a burn.
I'm happy to see you understood the importance of PPEs
