In our house, the more shopping we do, the less it gets done. Because something or other ends up happening every day, most of the shopping for our house was done by my mother. Because when my father died, we siblings were small, which is why this responsibility was big. My mother was the eldest in the house, which is why she used to fulfil whatever we needed.

If I want to buy groceries for the house, my mother does the shopping. Apart from this, if any ration, etc., runs out in the house, then my brother buys those things because the ration runs out at any time, and then these ration items are also available from the village shop. If we want to buy something, we send it to our brother, and he brings us everything we need.

How often do you shop at home?

There is no fixed time for home goods shopping, as one can go to any market for home goods shopping. Any time we run out of something in the house, we immediately go to the market to buy it because we never know when something will run out. Sometimes it happens that while cooking we run out of any ration item for which we have to go to the market immediately, but our village has this facility. Therefore, when we run out of rations, etc., we immediately order from the shop, and if I talk about the purchase of household items, we have to go to the market for shopping almost twice a week.

What are the products that CANNOT BE MISSING in your home? Mention any of them (personal hygiene, cleaning, food or sweets)

There are many products in our house without which we cannot live; that is why we keep these things in the house all the time. If I talk about these things, they have ghee, sugar, rice, and flour; without these things, we cannot live. Apart from that, things like eggs, milk, and butter are always available in our house. If I talk about sweets, I mean sweets in desserts and bakery biscuits, which are always available in our house. And the choice of most people in our house is bakery biscuits.

Do you shop in a specific place or do you walk through several places before shopping?

If we have to buy ration items, we buy them from a single shop in the village because there is a shop in our village and all kinds of things are available from this shop, and the price of this shopkeeper is also very reasonable. Rather, it sells things at a lower price than the market. But if my mother goes to buy groceries for the house, etc., she does not shop from one shop; she first visits different shops in the bazaar, and then when she finds a good and reasonable price, she buys from that shop.

Every time something is purchased, its price varies; similarly, if I talk about my daily ration, it costs fifteen hundred rupees to purchase it. And besides, if I talk about my grocery shopping, a week's groceries cost 4500 rupees.
