My Seven Fundamental Skills

Skills are learned abilities to effectively execute an excellent performance. After my high school, I tried talking my parents into reasons for me to learn a skill or even work while I wait for my results, but they refused and asked that I stay back home and wait for the results.

My intentions were to learn a lot of skills when I had enough time to. Well, I finally did, but that was when I told myself that I had to learn a skill. I learned some skills, while others were not learned but acquired naturally.

My 7 skills include;

• Cooking
• Writing
• Baking
• Farming
• Hair dressing
• Graphic design
• Problem solving

Among all these skills are more skills I have.

Well, just like I said before, some skills were learned while others were natural.

I learned cooking and baking from a cooking school I attended. It was owned by my aunt, so she helped me learn the little I know today. We usually cook for big occasions like weddings, birthdays, or dedications. Since cooking and baking are closely related, we had time to learn it as well.

Learning these skills was not just easy because it required my time, energy, attention, and focus. Every week, an assignment would be given and failure to do so would be given a punishment. The class was a serious one, and I tried not to miss anyone.

The hairdressing was taught to me by my stylist in the salon. I would watch her as she makes the customers hair, and the practice wasn't easy, but it was worth it.

Problem solving is natural, I didn't learn it. I adore places there is peace so I try to maintain such peaceful energy by solving some little problems.

Currently, I am not learning any skill, although I have one in mind, but that would when I am buoyant enough. I am only concentrating on improving my current skills.

I just need to be my best when it comes to the kitchen, graphics, writing, etc... so that I can stand out among others, so I thought it was wise for me to get improved in these ones before learning other ones.

I learn every day to be better because there is no better way to be better than learning and opening your heart to learn.

Every weekend, I go online to watch some cooking videos and some hair tutorials. I try as much as I can to write on my blog every day and get to learn new things.

I do practice my graphics with some apps I downloaded, and these things keep me so busy every day. When I see new ideas, I try to find out how it is done, and that way, I learn.

So learning new things every day is the better way for me.
