Since a long time ago, Indonesia has been famous for its many enchanting tourist attractions, with various natural beauties, such as mountains, oceans, rivers, forests and lakes. All of them are the wealth and natural resources that exist in my country.

Here I will share one of the famous tourist attractions and make my country Indonesia increasingly recognised and admired for its natural panoramic beauty.

What is that place that you think makes your country unique and why

One of the places that makes my country unique is a natural tourist spot called Lake lut tawar. This lake is very famous for its beauty and is a lake located in Aceh Province, Indonesia.

Lake Lut tawar is a very wide lake so it looks like a stretch of sea and the colour of the water is also blue like sea water. This lake is located precisely in the city of Takengon, Central Aceh.

Lutawar lake is surrounded by mountains with green forests if we visit Lutawar lake we will see a view that is like a painting but a natural painting from the creator. A real beautiful natural landscape.

When did you go? Is it free or do you have to pay for an entrance fee?

I have visited Lake Lut Tawar several times, the last time I visited was in the middle of last year 2023. Visiting Lake Lut Tawar is usually free of charge. But if we enter the cafe on the edge of the lake with various facilities, of course we have to pay for the facilities that have been provided.

So we only pay for facilities such as parking facilities or villas or cottages available on the edge of the lake. The costs that must be incurred for using these facilities vary. Depending on the type of facility we use.

Would you go again? Who would you take there?

Of course I wanted to go again to the tourist location of Lake Lut Tawar, I really wanted to experience its natural beauty while camping on the edge of the lake..previously I had heard stories from relatives and friends who spent the night by the lake using tent facilities.

I plan to invite my two daughters and my closest people. So that we can have quality time together and enjoy the beautiful natural atmosphere on the edge of Lake Lut Tawar.

Were there people there? Did you interact with them?

Of course, there are many local people who live around Lake Lut Tawar, even their livelihoods are mostly utilising natural resources, namely Depik fish, which is an endemic fauna in the lake.

In addition, there are those who manage the Lake Lut Tawar tourist spot, so this tourist location is a tourist location that is directly related to the community.

When visiting the location, I of course interacted with the local people. They are also friendly to tourists who come.
