Today I wanted to take part int his challenge of Comunidad Latina community:
Unique Scottish Place: Loch Ness |
---|
I was always interesting in mystery and fairy tale but also in something unusual. That is why many years ago when I was young I heard about Loch Ness monster.
That time I had no idea where it was but decided to research. The place was in Scotland and that time I heard first time about Highland. The name itself says that it is somewhere high and I thought that it supposed to be a king of mountain or so.
The monster itself was a creature that lived in the lake in Highlands from description it was told that it was looking like dinosaur
I think everyone has seen that photograph that was done by one of the local villager and old fashioned camera. That photo became viral and reach every corner of the world and that Villager man became very popular. Also, since then the little village with a lake "Loch Ness" because well known and monster was called "Nessie".
Photograph that allegedly showed the Loch Ness monster, 1934. The image, known as the “surgeon's photograph”
When we came first time to Scotland we went to visit Highlands, it was a trip with a car and took us appr. 3 hours from Edinburgh to Inverness which is very close to Loch Ness. We were surprised to see how vast a lake is. It was cold April morning and of course, the day was cloudy and grey, that is typical in Highlands most of the Spring and Autumn time.
Once we arrived to the village we have seen that there were already so many buses with tourists, majority of tourists were from Asia, Japan. I can imagine that for them it was also cold, they all went into the tourist souvenir shops and bought traditional scarfs made of sheep yarn. They are all have different colours and patter depending on Scottish clans so everyone can find the colour of their choice.
Despite of the fact that by now the old photo was revealed that it is a fake people still believe that there is a monster that still lives in Loch Ness. By the way word "Loch"means "Lake" that is then means Lake Ness.
I hope that everyone who love mystery and still believe in such stories are welcome to visit Loch Ness.

I often see the story of the Loch Ness Monster in textbooks, and I hope to have the opportunity to visit it in the future. I have just celebrated the Chinese New Year, and the Internet in my hometown is relatively poor during this period, so I have been unable to log in to steemit.
