Hello Everyone
I'm AhsanSharif From Pakistan
Greetings you all, hope you all are well and enjoying a happy moment of life with steem. I'm also good Alhamdulillah. |

Electronics is a field in which we have to use many devices and there are many things that we are attached to all the time. Different devices are used to check things like DC voltage, AC voltage, resistance, capacitor, diode, etc. But in today's task, I am using this device of two types of devices which I have found with great difficulty. As you all know I am an IT student so I was not much inclined towards electronics. But thanks to this course I thought why not learn something this is a good opportunity for us to learn about electronics. So I participated in this challenge in this contest so that I could increase my knowledge. For this, I have used these devices and by using these devices I have done some of my experiments, hope you like these experiments.

Task 01
Workshop1 Measurement
To check the voltage the first thing we have to do is set the AC voltage on our meter. Then the two probes below are to be selected one with positive COm and one with negative. After selecting them, we then observe them through a direct-volt incoming lead. As 220 volts is common in Pakistan, we set it to 250 so that if any shortfall occurs, it will be covered. To accomplish this we set them to 250 and then we put their positive and negative knobs into the direct switch. After plugging in the switch, you can see the reading on the meter in front of us that 220 volts is coming.

This is going to test a capacitor, hope you get it, if there is any mistake, let me know so that I can learn it. For this, I want to tell you that the Capacitance multimeter does not have this option so we have to check from its charging behavior whether this capacitor is good or bad. We'll set it in ohms, and by setting it in kiloohms, we'll attach both the positive and negative probes to them. And it will tell us whether it is right or not. If it is working, our needle will go from start to end to zero and then back from there. Thus it will only go forward once and then return. If you pick it up again, it will go back to zero and then back to its starting point. This way we will know that this capacitor is fine.
Connect Probs:
Observation:
I have checked the voltage and the capacitor with this meter, now it is the turn of the digital meter. Since I had both meters available, I thought of experimenting with both. And if any of these are defective, you can get it cleared.
This is a direct current voltage cell that I am experimenting with on a digital meter. First I set up my digital meter.
I set both the black and red probes to COM. After setting I attached this cell with one positive and one negative. And you can see the output of this.
This is a digital meter so there is no option for 10 above. We have set it to 20 volts so that it can tell us during this time.
The original sell capacity is 4 but now it's 1.43v. Because sell is 4 to 5 month old.
I have two types of mobile batteries one battery health is normal one battery health is better. Both the batteries are of four voltage so to check this four voltage we have to connect it with the meter to know the health of both of them.
We have to connect the red test probes to the positive and the black ones to the negative. Then it will tell us the range but we set the range to 20 on the multimeter. Because this is a digital meter it does not have a top 10 option. So it will tell us within 20 because our batteries are four voltages.
Both batteries are of 4.4 volts
There are no specific symptoms to check the diode but we have to check it on top of the digital meter in such a way that when we connect positive and negative to it, the light above it turns on. If the light turns on, we'll assume it's OK.
Observation:
As an IT person, these have been some of my experiences that I have had the pleasure of doing. And I am very happy that I have also started to know some things about electronics which I did not know before. But now Alhamdulillah I can say that I am trying to learn the basics and will continue to learn more with the help of this course.
Task 02
Workshop2 Tools
There are some tools that I am familiar with and I would like to discuss them here in the next task. Their full description of what their working on and those tools are given below.
Screwdriver
We use it to unlock the contents of various electronic devices. Which helps in opening thin patches etc.
Pilers
The pilers we use to hold things together are often used to connect wires. And we can tighten the loose things with it.
Tester
We use the tester when we need to quickly find out whether the current is passing through the circuit or in the wire or not. Because there is a light inside that tells us.
Soldering Iron
We use it to remove and attach things to the circuit board. Because it's electrical and it's hot, and because of that heat we use components to connect and disconnect things on a circuit or a board.
Heater
What is not coming off from the soldering iron, we remove it with the help of a heater. Because of the heater, we separate the object into its components by heating it and melting it.
Tape
This tape we use to cover different types of wires or we use it to connect wires. Because from where we have to connect the wire, the wire is bare which can shock us. So we have to use this tape to protect from shock.
Digital Mutimeter
It is a digital multimeter that tells us digitally what something is at how many volts. Or whatever the measurement of what we're checking tells us. As I have already mentioned above I have done some of my experiments with this meter.
Cutter
Cutters are used to strip and cut wire as the name itself suggests that it is a cutter and its job is to cut.
I have explained two types of meters in my post, one is the analog meter and the other is the digital meter. These days have their functions which I have already mentioned above. But if you don't have the skills to operate them, you should learn them first so that if you make a wrong selection, your meter will malfunction and you will have to suffer. If you are a newcomer, you should select the highest available range so that your measurement falls within it. You should not suffer loss. If there is any mistake in what I have done then you can correct my mistake as I have participated in basic electronics for the first time and I am lucky to do this in electronics stuff.
As I am an IT student, I have IT stuff with me. But this is something electronics I didn't have. Due to this, I visited a shop from where I did these experiments.
I would like to invite my friends to join this challenge.

Great job! I don't really have a good idea about electricals but reading through your post, I have a little knowledge about different tools and what they are used for. Thank you to steemit and you, my knowledge is widened everyday in different fields.
Thank you for the invitation and best wishes.

Great job, by you @ahsansharif, you have try your best to submit your entry even when you are not familiar with electronic and it components. explain the basics of electronics components.
You say you found your tools with difficulty, I can relate to it.
I bought an analog multimeter so as to be able to participate fullin this lesson and homework submission and seerch for other tools.
Thanks for sharing and knowledge though you are an IT student. My field is not electronic, but I am learning and wish to learn faster. It took me days of trying before I could submit my entry.

Thanks for the valuable feedback. It's very hard to learn new skill but when we go in deep then we learn easily. Yes I am IT student that's why I find these meters and tools hardly. That's why I add my entry too late. But it's a great experience.

This is a good start and your testing instrument is a powerful machine, though i noticed a negative reading on the meter when testing your DCV. Could it be that you switched polarity when you were measuring the battery?

Thanks for appreciating my work. I'm not change anything just try to check bettery with this measurements. Because I'm not much connected with him. In future I will try best to learn and then explain.
