Journey to Lahore: A Memorable Trip for Degree Verification Part 01

I hope everyone is well and enjoying their lives. Today, I am traveling to Lahore, about 250 km away. I have to go there to get my degree test done, so I left my house last evening so that I could stay at my friend's place for the night and then reach my HEC office early in the morning on the 12th, from where my appointment was already booked.

Meanwhile, I left home in the evening and went straight to Faisal Mover. From there, I bought a ticket for Lahore and waited there for a while. After waiting, our bus arrived there, in which I sat and left for Lahore.

Its fare is a little higher than local buses, but its journey is easy because it does not have any stops on the way. It goes directly to Lahore, so we prefer it more so that we can sit comfortably and go. Local buses are more crowded and have to stop at every stop, due to which we sometimes reach our destination late, so I always use it and travel through it.

After a two and a half hour journey, I finally reached Lahore. It was already night. There was a lot of rush here because compared to the city we had come from, there is very little rush there. Lahore is a very big city, so there is a lot of traffic here, so all the roads are full.

After getting down at the Faisal Movers base, I then took a rickshaw and went straight to the Orange Train track. From there, I had to go to my friend's place because the Orange Train was near his house, so I had to take advantage of this and that train.

Then I got on the Orange train track and went there and bought a ticket from their terminal. That ticket is given to us in the form of a token. That token was only 40 rupees because here in Lahore, a very big service has been provided by the government of Pakistan and even 40 rupees can cover a distance of 25 kilometers. After all, this train runs for 25 kilometers. So my second stop was Thokar Terminal and from there I bought a ticket I was about to get down at the eighth stop which was Anarkali Terminal. I bought a ticket from there and reached the train track. There I waited only one to two minutes when the train arrived and then I sat on this train and reached directly to Anarkali's stop.

As soon as I reached Anarkali's stop, I called my friend. He told me to wait there and I would be there in about five minutes. So I put my token back in his machine and went out. After going out, I started waiting for my friend.

I didn't know how long my friend had been waiting for a vendor standing next to me who had corn kernels and peanuts, so I bought a mix of grains from him so that I could enjoy it as long as my friend didn't arrive.

I took those grains from there and started eating them and at the same time, I started exploring the city of Lahore because we come here very rarely. We come here only when we have some work to do. Because it is quite far from us, that is why I feel happy when I come here. The environment is very good, it is clean and all kinds of facilities are available. The government of Pakistan also plays a very important role here.

After a while, my friend came to my house and we met each other. Then he took me to his house. I stayed there for the night. We had food that I had brought from home. We ate that food that night. After eating, we chatted for a while.

It was quite late at night, so my friend said, "Why don't we go out for a while here, because everything you see in Lahore is beautiful, and there are many exciting moments here, especially when you get up from the village."

So we also went out to wander around. This friend's residence was near Minar Pakistan. We couldn't go to Minar Pakistan and Badshahi Mosque because it was quite late and their gates were closed. There are very few people there at night because it is very crowded there during the day. At a certain time, they close the gates and then only those who are inside can come out. Those outside cannot go in. So we enjoyed ourselves for a long time and did some shopping in the market and then came home.

Since I had to leave early in the morning to get my degree verified, I had to get it verified from HEC and MOFA, so I went to bed early at night so that I could leave at 6 am.
