All the paintings I have taken photos of, are not more than 30 x30 cm. Easy to miss. Some I have found by accidents, but mostly from folowing Reinart on Instagram. Most of them are painted on walls on an old building that I pass everyday when I go to work.
Our city has been taking its time to enjoy street art. It was not until 2016 that we saw the first murals. If we compare Kristiansand with the ciy of Stavanger, there is a huge difference in the way the locals have embraised street art. Stavanger has held its annual street art festival – The NuArt Festival. That happens in September each year. They invite lots of international artists along with locals. The first NuArt Festival was held in 2001. In 2017 Kristiansand was ready to do the same and the “Gatekunst” festival was a reality. The result was a possitive response from the citizens. Now we have quite an amount of local artist, who paints beautiful paintings in our city. The locals in Kristiansand. But, somehow I think we are getting there. It just seems to take some time.
Reinart the Dog's instagram is still on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/reinertthedog/
