"My Unique Travel Experience"

Hello to all my dear steemian friends.

Today I want to include my participation in a very interestingcontest " My Unique Travel Experience" organized by @dove11.

We had gone to Saharanpur to attend a wedding.

In our Hindu religion, there are many rituals before marriage. In all these rituals, the bride and groom's family wear clothes of different colors according to the fashion. For example, yellow outfits are worn on the ritual of Haldi and green outfits are worn on the ritual of Mehndi.

We had also packed different clothes for all the different rituals to be worn there. All the clothes worn in all the rituals were traditional which are quite heavy and take up more space in the luggage while packing. That is why a lot of our luggage was ready.

When we collected all our luggage at one place, we thought that how will we put it in the car now, how will we go to Saharanpur with so much luggage.

Then my husband called a driver from outside and got the two biggest suitcases tied on the roof of the car. On the way, we were a little worried that our briefcases might fall from the roof of the car. But nothing like that happened and we all reached Saharanpur comfortably.

In Saharanpur, 25 rooms were booked for all of us guests in a very beautiful hotel named Sagar Ratna. After reaching there, we took the keys of our room, set all the luggage in our room and enjoyed all the rituals by wearing outfits according to the customs there.

The wedding was also arranged in the same Silver Castle Sagar Ratna Hotel. In the wedding too, we enjoyed many types of dishes and danced and had a lot of fun with all of our relatives . Now after the wedding was over, we gave the wedding gift to the bride. And prepared to return to our city.

When we started returning to our city, the same problem arose as to how to take the luggage. In our city, we had called a driver and got the luggage tied on top, but how will it be done here.

Then my husband himself tied the luggage on top of the car with the help of some boys there. And we left for our city from there. After driving a little distance, we started feeling sleepy due to the exhaustion of staying awake all night at the wedding . I was sitting on the front seat next to the driving seat.

I attached the car's Bluetooth to my phone and played songs loudly so that our attention gets diverted and we do not fall asleep. My children and my mother-in-law were sleeping comfortably on the back seat. I entertained myself with the sound of songs. But I saw that my husband was still feeling sleepy. I felt that he was trying to take a nap while driving and I was repeatedly snapping my hands in front of his eyes.

I told my husband to stop somewhere and have tea. Then my husband found a good place and stopped the car. We had tea there, ordered potato and mixed veg parathas with curd. We washed our hands and face there and enjoyed tea and parathas.
Now our sleep had gone away. Still I bought some toffees and chocolates from a nearby shop. So that when we feel sleepy, we will put these chocolates and toffees in our mouths and sleep will go away.

Now we all sat in the car and started towards home. Due to the loud sound of songs in the car and chocolates in our mouths, we were not able to sleep now and by the grace of God we reached our home safely. 😊

in this journey we realized that instead of hurrying to return, we should have returned after taking some rest.
