SEC-S18W5: Traveling and Enjoying with Kids

The growth and development of children is the responsibility of both parents, the role of parents in stimulating, accompanying and guiding them is an important foundation for their future. Even though my wife and I are busy workers, attention to cognitive development is never neglected.

One of the efforts that encourages the realization of my wishes is by spending free time with them. I tend to choose to travel to places that can stimulate their psyche. For example, nature tourism, attractive games, or even other children's play rides. Apart from that, I also introduce them to historical events by taking them to museums and educational games.

The most enjoyable thing for my two children is when I take them on holiday/travel, even if it's not a long route. I can't imagine seeing their expressions. "Hooray... Hooray... Finally we're traveling again" added my first child while jumping up and down with joy.

They immediately prepared themselves and their belongings, such as the various types of toys they owned, clothes and other equipment, into their respective bags. As parents, we only need to guide and supervise them so that their needs during the trip can be met properly.

There are many alternative tourism destinations that I visit that encourage their psychological development, one of which is beaches and rivers. We know that children like water the most, there they can explore their imagination by playing.

Look at the picture below, my two children are digging a small pond, they really enjoy it and even here the inspiration appears to do something that has never been discovered before.

Next is the painting garden, my two children have characters with quite high curiosity, they like challenging things and one of them is painting. I fulfill their wishes to implement their hobbies. Even though it's just coloring, I think this activity will stimulate their brains to match colors according to the type of image chosen.

On the other hand, as in the cover image, they learn to face challenges and be thorough. Rock climbing is a dangerous activity, but if it is done under supervision it will actually form a new character for them, having the courage to face challenges without ignoring personal safety.

The three pictures above are different tourist locations, the first picture shows a zoo tour, I introduced them to various types of protected wild animals that are currently starting to become extinct. This is an important lesson for them about the diversity of living creatures that are starting to become extinct and their habitats must be protected.

While the picture in the middle is a children's play area, there are various types of electric motorbikes that can be rented to visitors. I see many changes that occur when they start to get to know the outside environment.

The Tsunami Museum in the third picture is an important lesson for them about the enormous disaster that destroyed our area with tens of thousands of victims. They realize that preserving nature is one of the efforts that needs to be made to minimize disasters and mitigate disasters when they occur again.

They are happiest when on holiday, but long trips are challenging for me, even when using private vehicles, they are prone to experiencing nausea and even vomiting. Well, when this started happening, I had to comply with their wishes by stopping every 20 kilometers.

This will take quite a long time if the travel route is quite long, up to hundreds of kilometers. Sometimes they also ask to postpone the trip and return home,

Haahaha... this is a funny joke every time we travel, but I get around it that the journey we take will soon reach its destination. They fell asleep and I was able to drive comfortably.
