Due to our very busy schedules, it never crosses our mind to take a time out to have some fun trip with our family and friends or even take ourselves to destinations of our choice. But, with this contest, we can travel with our imaginary $10k to any place of our choice. Before now, I’ve had several places in mind that I’ve always wanted to visit.

Buckle up your seat belt, Let me take you guys through my journey but before doing that I will like @diary-of-ima, @smyle and @gbenga to join in this joyful ride…

I’m just here thinking of the many wonderful places I can go with this money. Places like great walls of china, pyramid of Egypt, World Trade Center and the lots of the many wonderful tourist attractions I see on “discovery channel” but if I start doing that the money will finish so fast.. So, I’ll like to settle for my country tourist site then probably visit one country overseas.

I’ll be sharing some of this tourist site I’ve always wanted to travel in Nigeria.

• Obudu cattle ranch/ Obudu mountain resort:
  You will be surprised to know that despite all my long stay in calabar, I’ve never been to obudu cattle ranch before. Cross river has the biggest land mass in south south. To move from Calabar to obudu cattle ranch will take about 7-8hrs by road and no flight except you hire a private helicopter. So, it’s one thing that has discouraged me. But with $10,000 at my disposal, I get the chance to enter helicopters for the first time to obudu. Then enter their cable cars also for the first time to get a close view of the mountains and the cattle ranch.

• Ikogosi hot and cold water spring:
  This stream is another place I’ll love to visit. It is located in ekiti state. According to the myths behind the two streams, it tells us about a man who married two wives who are always fighting each other. One is hot tempered and always causing trouble while the other is the cool headed wife. They both died due to their excessive fighting and through magical means, the troublesome wife became the warm water, while the gentle and peace-loving wife became the cold water.

• Orashi river
  Another place with similar features in Nigeria that I will love to visit is the orashi river. Here this two rivers never mix. They’re like oil and water. One is brown in color and the other is blue. According to scientists, the reason is because they both have different density, and huge distinction in temperature. If you try to force them together, it may cause an explosion. But according to the Igbo legends, these two rivers were once humans before who loved each other so much. One name is orashi (man) and the other is ogbuide (woman). One day they had a big fight and hated each other. They divorced and went there separate ways. They believe this two people reincarnated to become this two rivers orashi and ogbuide, that even in death, they still hate each other.

• Hawaii
  After all this plenty travels, I will love Hawaii to be the last place I spend my vacation. I have wanted to go to there beach since when I was young after I watched the seasonal movie “bay-watch Hawaii”. I have always admired their beautiful girls. It will be a place to just relax, no adventures. I heard the place brings You Closer to Paradise. I want to see the paradise.

For obudu, two things I plan to do there is to enter that there cable car. I only see that in movies. I’ll also use the opportunity to enter a horse. I know some people might see this as nothing but I’ve never ridden a horse before. Maybe I can kill two birds with one stone if I go there.

For the ikogosi stream, I will love to have a swim there. I heard there is a hotel location close to the ikogosi stream and they created a swimming pool out of the converged stream. I’ll love to swim there. Who knows, since the Yoruba mythology says it is a magical stream, I might just make a wish in the pool.

For the orashi river, I will try to do some scientific research on that pool to make sure those two rivers settle their disputes and they finally mixed with each other.

As for Hawaii, I don’t think if I go to that country, I’ll love to come back. The place is just so beautiful considering what I see on tv. To top it up, they have so much beautiful ladies everywhere. I don’t think I will come back. Nigerians should just know that they have lost one of their citizen, if I get there.

Since I’m not married I’ll love to go with girlfriend on this great travel. We will touch down all those beautiful places in Nigeria and have a good time but when it comes to “Hawaii”, I’ll go with my family.

There are places you go with your family to give them some good treats. You go there to make new friends, play some casino games and have so much fun with the ladies. Then you come back to Nigeria with your innocent face and pretend as if nothing happened. Like the saying goes, ”What happens in Vegas, remains in Vegas. Same thing applies to Hawaii”😊😊

The occasion will be significant to my life because I get to meet new people and make new friends that’s outside Africa. Get to appreciate nature and learn various cultures and traditions from the locals residing there.

Traveling to Hawaii will give me the opportunity to learn their famous art and craft work called “flora leis”. If I become so good at it , I know my Nigerian folks over here will love it especially when they are going to beach. I could make a fortune out of it and that way it might lead to personal growth.

With my loved ones, it’s going to be that moment to spend more time together, probably explore new things like Dora the explorer and increase the bond.

When it comes to my personal vision, the traveling is going to be like a way of self discovery for me. Probably learn more about my preferences, strengths, and weaknesses that will shape my vision for personal development.

There is nothing as fun as traveling to new places and getting to experience new traditions, cultures,new dishes and lifestyle. This exposure can inspire personal growth and impact our aspirations.
