Self-driving in Daxinganling: The unknown ceiling of autumn scenery

Today's itinerary: Qigan Village - Mangui Town - (215KM, 3h) Mohe (Arctic Village)

🍂From Qiqian Village to Mangui Town, according to the map navigation, it is a big circle, 337 kilometers! ! Don't go like this! The guide I made before was to turn right from the Bailu Island checkpoint and there is a new road that leads to Iksama National Forest Park and directly to Mangui. Unfortunately, not long after we left Qigan Village on the morning of the 23rd, we encountered road construction again! They said it would take at least two or three hours to get through, but we didn't want to wait. So we contacted the owner of the inn in Qigan Village. The owner was very nice. She pointed out a new road for us (we needed to find someone else to apply for a pass), which also went through the Iksama National Forest Park to Mangui. We made a quick decision to return to Qigan Village and take the road that was not on the map. Around 14:30, we arrived at Mangui smoothly.

🍂So my experience is that when you are away from home, all guides are for reference only. When encountering special circumstances, you must ask more local people, especially the owners of hotels and inns for help. The local people have far more energy and information than we know, which can greatly reduce unnecessary trouble and waiting, save time and cost, and free up more energy for travel.

🍂This is this new road that few people know, I would like to call it the "Autumn Scenery Ceiling". Not a single car, let alone pedestrians or tourists. There are golden forests on both sides of the road. The autumn wind blows by, blowing off the leaves on the trees and rolling up the leaves on the ground. There was a slight chill in the air, and there were no birds. We stood quietly on the roadside for a long time. I really want to leave the car, change a pair of shoes, and keep walking along this road, as if this is the only way to keep the autumn colors longer and deeper. Today, one year later, when I recall that road again, my heart is still filled with excitement. The indulgent autumn colors surge deep in my heart, like the endless waves, washing away my memory. Then I remembered the classic line from "The Great Gatsby": sailing against the current, keep moving forward until you return to the past.

🍂In this era of short videos, probably no one will finish reading these words. But it doesn't matter. My original intention is to record my life, to remember it, and not to forget it again. The book "Youth" was opened so hastily that before I even had time to read the preface carefully, the hand of God had already closed it and told me that youth is gone and there is no need to miss it. Fortunately, I have entered a new, stronger phase in my life, where I am becoming softer but stronger. I no longer care about what others think or think. I have found my own core strength. I am who I am. I am as free as the breeze. Every mountain I blow over eventually becomes the shape I want.

🍂I love Qigan, specifically, I love this most beautiful road that wraps and nourishes this small village. No one knows this place, but I have been lucky enough to set foot there.
