Jagannath University. Location

My dear friends and I have been thinking about going on a trip for quite some time. However, I couldn't go anywhere because I couldn't get leave from my university and Rakib's office. But this Friday we both have free time. So we planned to go somewhere. However, we didn't have time to go anywhere far. So we decided to visit some places within Dhaka, even though we had never been to these places before.

We woke up in the morning and refreshed ourselves. Then we got ready and set out for our trip. We will visit several places today. But first, we set out to go to the Dhaka river port, i.e. Sadarghat. We had breakfast outside. I have mentioned the cost of breakfast for the two of us below.

Then we got on a bus. Local buses are always available in Dhaka city. Anyway, we boarded a bus at Sadarghat. We reached Sadarghat in about 30 minutes from Khilgaon Basabo. We got off the bus and were walking. I already noticed Jagannath University on the side of the road. We had never been to Jagannath University before. So we both entered Jagannath University. It's a beautiful university, but we didn't tour the entire university. After wandering around for a while, I went out.

Dhaka River Port, Sadarghat. Location

We arrived at the Dhaka River Port. It is called the Sadarghat Launch Terminal. This is the first time we both came here. This is an old, traditional area of Dhaka city. People travel by river from Sadarghat Launch Terminal to different parts of the country. In addition, various business activities in the capital are conducted using this river port.

In ancient times, people relied on river routes for transportation and the import and export of goods. And since Dhaka was the capital of Bangladesh, people needed to travel here. At the same time, this city was the main center of business. As a result, people had to establish contact with this capital. At that time, this river port was his only means of transportation. However, it still continues. People still travel along the river and conduct business and commerce.

We came here and toured this traditional Sadarghat Launch Terminal, i.e. Dhaka River Port. I learned about the ancient history and traditions. I also saw the big launches and took pictures to share with you.

Ahsan Manzil Museum. Location

The traditional Ahsan Manzil Museum is located near Sadarghat. We had already planned to go here. So we went to the Ahsan Manzil Museum. It was very close, so we walked there. This is an old tradition in Bangladesh. This is an archaeological structure. It is currently operated as a branch of the Bangladesh National Museum. However, I don't know much about its history.

Anyway, we arrived at Ahsan Manzil Museum around noon. So it was closed. On Fridays, the Ahsan Manzil Museum is open from 3 pm. So we couldn't enter it. However, the ticket price to enter it was 30 BDT or 0.84 STEEM. We will be visiting more places. So we couldn't wait until 3 pm to get in here. And that's why we couldn't visit the Ahsan Manzil Museum. We left for our next destination.

The next part (part-2) of this travel blog is coming soon...

Best Regards
