In the 5rd 12 week Session Steemit Engagement Challenge contest, I am interested in taking part. The theme presented is "Preservation of the planet: Animals threatened with extinction"

To enliven it, I want to invite my friend @sailawana @asiahaiss @paholags @crismenia to join this contest. OK, I'll start this contest with enthusiasm.

Our earth consists of living creatures, namely humans, plants and animals. Living creatures interact with each other, so we must always preserve and look after them well.

However, lately, day by day, due to various human activities, the population is becoming increasingly dense, the existence of some animals has begun to be eliminated and become extinct.

There are several factors that cause animal extinction, including the struggle for land used for human activities such as clearing residential land, where increasingly dense population growth certainly requires space for them.

Then the opening of agricultural land, forestry, plantations and livestock also results in the habitat of these animals being eliminated. So they don't have a place to live anymore.

The jungle, which is their home and where they look for food, was destroyed due to human actions. So that in the end one by one they were destroyed on earth.

Furthermore, forest fires and illegal logging carried out by humans also contributed to the extermination of these animals.

Illegal hunting of animals to keep them illegally also causes many animals to become extinct because they cannot adapt to their new environment. These animals are stressed and don't even want to eat, which leads to death.

Many animals are currently threatened with extinction in my area due to excessive human activity. One of them is in my area which is located on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. One of them that is almost no longer visible is the Sumatran tiger and orangutan.

their numbers are increasingly rare. Even though in the past the orangutan population on the island of Sumatra and the island of Kalimantan in Indonesia was one of the densest orangutan populations in the world, currently only a few individuals remain.

These two animals, namely the orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus) and the Sumatran tiger (Panthera tigris) are the rarest animals in my area at the moment.

In my opinion, the action that must be taken to preserve endangered animals is to rehabilitate animals that are injured and stressed due to forest fires and poaching in animal rehabilitation centers. One of the rehabilitation places is the zoo.

Then, once the animals are healthy, we have to return them to the wild, namely the forest where they originally lived. What must be a concern is that we humans do not destroy or exploit the forests where they live on a large scale because this will disturb the habitat where they live.

Let's work together to preserve the nature of our earth wherever we are by not carrying out large-scale land conversion so that the forests, which are home to all wildlife, are not disturbed by their natural habitat.

Avoid illegal hunting and forest burning. If the forest is disturbed, the animals that live in it will automatically be disturbed. Which can threaten their existence one by one so that they will eventually become extinct.

Therefore, let us humans protect each other's nature, our earth as well as possible and as fairly as possible. We must preserve nature together.
