This is my participation in a contest The drama of my favorite novel organized in Reflections on Life by @hive-190211.
What is your favorite novel? |
---|
Being the student of literature I have read to many novels and their are many novels, which falls under my the category of my favorite novels. Yes I would mention here my most favorite one and it's Wuthering Heights Written by Emily Brontë. It's a 19th century gothic novel.
What's so much drama in it? |
---|
As I have mentioned it's a gothic Novel, that follows the antihero, Heathcliff. He gets revenge the people who kept him away from his love, Cathy Earnshaw. She is his childhood love, whome he loves desperately.
Heathcliff, leaves Earnshaw in thirst of revenge. After over a decade, he finally succeeds in his revenge and gains: Thrushcross Grange, the family home of Cathy's husband.
Which character from that novel did you like? |
---|
Emily Bronte's all characters of this novel is sublime. Heathcliff is the dominant character here we can call him the protagonist. This character has all the levels of sublimity in it.
My favorite character here is of Catherine Earnshaw; the only daughter of Earnshaw's family. Her neck name is Cathy. I am attracted by her innocence, and I feel pity on her miseries in life, thought she is someone responsible for it too. She rejects Heathcliff; the love of her life, which leads to the distraction of both families' lives.
Have you cried in any of the chapters? |
---|
Yes it's true that this is quite an emotional novel, it keeps emotionally attached through out your reading, but no I didn't cried at any instance while reading it. Yeah the death of Catherine Earnshaw is quite emotional. It raises your emotions, you feel so sorry for her.
Did you like the final chapter of your favorite novel? Why? |
---|
Yes the final chapter is amazing too. It has some major events like, the death of Heathcliff. It's the important part of the novel too, which makes the readers quite sad and emotional. Though I hate Heathcliff for his rigid heart and wicked personality, I enjoyed his death scenes.
He is so cruel to the people around him. Even his son he doesn't forgive, but yeah it's true that the people around him are responsible for making him so.
This is all about my blog for today, hope you guys have enjoyed reading it. See you soon with a new amazing and interesting topic, till take care.
I would like to invite: @solaymann @waterjoe , @willmer1988 to participate in this Contest |
