Welcome everyone to my blog.Hope you all are well.I'm fine too.Today I wrote about May Day or International Workers' Day.I hope you enjoy this blog post.Today is the first of May.Great May Day.May 1 is called International Workers' Day.Today is the day to realize the demands of workers all over the world.Labor Day is being celebrated in all countries of the world including Bangladesh with the aim of realising the dignity of their demands.Workers are agitating for fair wages for their labor and for keeping their working hours right.That is why today is celebrated as Labor Day.We need to ensure that working people around the world get a fair wage for their work.
The history of Labor Day is very old.In the 18th century,workers in Chicago,USA,began protesting for fair wages and eight hours of work a day.Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Friday,removing many protesters by truck.Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Friday,removing many protesters by truck.Many workers were injured and many were arrested by the police.After a one-sided trial,six of the arrested workers were hanged.In view of this,the workers started a more demonstration.This movement of workers spread to every country in the world.Later,the US government administration was forced to accept the demands of the agitating workers.
However,the history of celebrating this day worldwide is that May 14 was declared May 1 as Labor Day at the International Labor Conference held in France on July 14.Since 1890,May 1 has been celebrated worldwide as May Day or International Workers' Day.
