Hi @steemphotos, In my country Venezuela, the traditional costume par excellence is the "vestido de madama" or "old lady".

This is a traditional dress worn by slaves in the Americas when Columbus colonized and Spain colonized us.

It was used in certain festivals and pagan rituals, since the colors were intended for white women and the slaves wore mostly white cotton dresses, for various reasons:

. The fabric was cheaper.
. Cotton was much cooler
. This is how slaves should dress.

Over time this dress has evolved and details have been added and removed, especially after the independence of Venezuela from Spanish rule.

Today it is used in local folkloric festivals and in the festival called "carnival", as a way of honoring our ancestors.

On the occasion of my birthday, my friend and producer invited me to give this suit a try, since I told him that I had never been in one before.
