Hello my fellow Alphabet Hunters. This week we search for the "V". It may not be so difficult but I still think it is a very challenging letter. However, I have no doubt this hunt will still prove to be a good one for everybody. Special thanks to @barbara-orenya for this initiative. Please click on the link here to know more about this Challenge. It is still not too late to join and have fun.
My trophies for this week's hunt are as follows:
The first "V" is for Vulcanize
I had the misfortune of experiencing a flat tire last week. Good thing I had a spare tire. After replacing the deflated tire with the spare I was able to bring it to a vulcanizing shop. They dismounted the tire from the rim, checked the puncture and patched it up with a rubberized seal. Photo below shows the tireman manually submerging the tire in water to check for any bubbles indicating a leak. Finding none, he mounted the repaired tire onto the car.
The second "V" is for Vehicles
These are photos of the parking lot of the building where my office is located. As you can see, there's just too many vehicles chasing after a few parking slots which often results in double parking. And still, a lot more vehicles cannot be accommodated.
The third "V" is for Vitamins / Vitamin Drink
We need Vitamins to boost our immunity, especially now with the threat of Covid-19. Vitamin C is a very good immune booster. So with Vitamin D which you get through sunlight. Try to spend at least an hour outdoors under the sun to shore up on Vit D.
The fourth "V" is for Violet Camote Tops
These are sweet potato leaves known in our country as Talbos ng Kamote or Violet Camote Tops. These leaves are packed with so much Vitamin K which helps in de-calcifying arteries of hard and harmful plaque deposits, a major cause of heart attacks. Cut off the stems, bring to boil, and mix with tomatoes, onions and a sprinkle of kalamansi (a specie of lemon grown in our country) and you have a very healthy salad dish. The water used in boiling can also be used as a tea drink.
The fifth "V" is for Verdon Parc
These are photos of one of the more ambitious condominium projects in our city named Verdon Parc. It sits on a 3-hectare land with 1 hectare solely dedicated to open space and amenities, thus the name meaning Green Park. There will be 4 mid-rise buildings ( 7 to 9 floors) within the vicinity upon completion.
The sixth "V" is for View
These are some of the places one can visit in our city. The first photo is a view of Davao City from about 3,000 feet. The second is a resort in Buda, about 80 kilometers away from Davao. The third is a vegetable farm also in Buda.
And that's it for this week's hunt. Thank you for dropping by and I'll be along to your blogs too now that I finished this post to check on your trophies. Meanwhile, stay safe and have a blessed weekend ahead.
