With these two keywords, here is my entry to this 40th Edition Challenge with Copper and Metal as keywords:
Photo above shows Philippine peso coins for 1, 5, and 10 pesos. These are issued by the Philippine Central Bank or Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas . In the Philippines, which is my country, aside from these 1, 5, and 10 peso coins there are also other smaller denominated coins called centavos, which is the equivalent of U.S. cents to the U.S. dollars. These coins, believe it or not, are composed of Copper and other metals as per Philippine Coins - Bohol, Philippines.
- The 10 peso bimetallic coin - The core or center is 92% copper, 6% aluminum and 2% nickel. The ring is 75% copper and 25% nickel.
- The 5 peso coin - 70% copper, 24.5% zinc, 5.5% nickel.
- The 1 peso coin - 75% copper, 25% nickel.
The photo below shows the centavo coins together with the peso coins.
The composition of the centavo coins are as follows:
- 25 centavos - 65% copper, 35% zinc
- 10 centavos - 6% copper, 94% steel
- 5 centavos - 6% copper, 94% steel though there should be less metal due to the hole
Source is the same as the previous one cited above.
Here's another photo from a different angle.
