I grew up listening to the story of "Baliyati" Zamindar's house. I heard that he could not walk in front of the house with shoes on, he could not walk with an umbrella on his head, and there was a dance hall in the middle of the pond. But I have never heard about Mahera Zamindar's house anywhere. During the day, our family goes out for a walk. On one such holiday, we started towards Tangail town. After hearing about our departure, an acquaintance asked us to go to Mahera Zamindar's house. And we went to Mahera after listening to him.

The "Mahera" Zamindar mansion is the most stunning one I've ever seen. Although I have visited many other Zamindar houses, none have ever been as stunning or well-preserved as this one in Bangladesh. Additionally, there are little parks, picnic areas, zoos, and boat cruises.

There is a pond called Visakha Sagar at the entrance. And there are two other ponds called Pasara Pond and Rani Pond at the back. There are two beautiful gates at the door of this house. In addition to the main three buildings, there are three lodges, including Kachari House and Naib Sahib's House.

"Chowdhury Lodge" is the name of one of the three principal structures. The exquisitely crafted Romanesque structure sits in front of lush, grassy grounds and gardens and has a lovely corrugated roof.
The "Maharaj Lodge" was constructed in a Byzantine manner. There are twelve rooms in all. A front garden and a back tennis court are both present.

"Ananda Lodge" is the name of the Mahera Zamindar House's most beautiful structure. A lovely garden with tiger and deer statues is opposite this structure.
