I @etainclub am the developer of the PLAY STEEM mobile apps.
I have known the issue that a push message arriving when the app is open automatically made the app navigate to the post of the push message.
It was tricky because it happens occasionally. So I could not pin point the issue. But I never gave up!
Through the deep dive into the issue, finally I figured the reason out.
To put simply, the push message caused to refresh the post details screen.
Push Notifications service is Now STABLE
Now the push notifications service is stable and few errors!
There is still an issue of the push notifications. Push tokens of some accounts to send push messages are not registered due to an unknown reason. To solve this, you need to login the app again if you feel that push message is not coming.
Whenever I find this case, I let the owner of that account know this.
Release of New Version
I will release a new version of PLAY STEEM apps soon!
