As we reach the Capricorn Ingress, the longest day of the year, I thought I'd do a quick Astrology post as I think this is an important moment for us all.
The Capricorn Ingress is one of those marker posts in the year, as the Sun enters one of the Cardinal signs - the signs of beginnings and forward progress. This is where we start to plan for the year to come, and I suppose the New Year's Resolutions we make come out of us passing through the Capricorn ingress? Time to make intentions known, organise our lives, administrate what needs to be done., and take responsibility for the mistakes we have made in the previous 12 months.
Now I wouldn't normally make a big thing of the Capricorn Ingress, but this one has special significance? Why? It is accompanied by Jupiter almost simultaneously moving into a new sign, and also crossing a Cardinal boundary. Yes, Jupiter moved into Aries just yesterday, and is still only a 10th of a degree into a brand new cycle. Jupiter in Aries is brave, forthright, headstrong, ambitious and wanting to go on an adventure. Linked into the Ingress, you can appreciate that the plans we will hope to fulfil, will be ones coloured by this exciting shift of sign for the biggest influece on us in the solar system. We will want to learn, gain knowledge and embark on a new venture as quickly as we possibly can. After all, the last three years have been as bad as you could imagine, and I would guess that we could all do with a shot in the arm of adreline and optimism?
Following on from the Ingress on the 23rd, is a New Moon in Capricorn at 1.32 of the sign, and naturally that New Moon will be square to Jupiter at 0 degrees Aries. Yet another indication that a new beginning is coming. The other really potent aspect on this chart is a close trine between Uranus and Venus, so new relationships, being different in a creative way, or using money and resources to spark something unique may be key to the fresh ideas and plans being formulated now.
With Saturn and Uranus finally starting to release their long and stressful square aspect, something that has dominated over us for a good couple of years, this really does feel like we are ready to get 2023 going in a positive way.
New challenges will present themselves, and we will go into 2023 with fresh attitudes and a sense of finally being able to clear the decks. My sense is that by the time Pluto shifts into Aquarius in March 2023, just after the Aries Ingress, the lay of the land in the world around us will be vastly different to the way it is right now!!!
So think big, aim for the stars, and use this potent moment to shift direction in your life. Better times are coming in 2023, and if you set yourself up correctly now, you will get a head start on those who are slower out of the starting blocks.....
