Seumadu Island

With my friend, we took a relaxing trip to Seumadu Island which took about an hour and covered a distance of 16.7 kilometers from the city center of Lhokseumawe. However, Google Maps estimates the time needed to be around 29 minutes.

Seumadu Island is a sandbar that is used as a tourist attraction. I'm not sure why it says "island". I tried to confirm using Google Maps, it turned out it was a sand dune separated by salt water but still connected to land. The puddle looked like a small lagoon.

It doesn't matter if it's an island or not!. Seumadu Island is of course one of the beautiful beach resorts in Lhokseumawe, with sloping beaches and gentle waves.

We used the pedestrian bridge to get to Gosong or Seumadu Island. Simple bridge of wooden construction and plank base with blue rope handrail. It seems it can hold up to ten walkers.

This tourist spot provides huts for guests to rest, unwind and take shelter. On your way across the bridge, you can see huts neatly lined up, wooden building poles stuck into the ground, and water marks on the poles, indicating that the poles will be submerged in water at high tide. Some buildings appeared to have collapsed.

This saltwater pool has an estuary that leads into the open sea, and the drop in water level when we arrived made the pool appear shallow.

Look at that paddle duck boat. Kids will ask their parents to try rowing in the red duck paddle boats moored near the pier, and you'll be hard-pressed to say no.

I have set foot on this island. Several facilities are also available for tourists, such as beach umbrellas with permanent construction and beach huts that make you forget the time to go home; You will be engrossed in the beautiful views of the beach and sea.

Several logs lay on the sand, ready to be used in the construction of a new beach hut.

A black cat was lazing on the sand. Oh kitty, your sense of relaxation is also high, right?

Let's look at some photos of Seumadu Island beach.

Have you ever been here? This is my first visit to Seumadu Island after seven years of living in Lhokseumawe.

This beach is flanked by two ports: Blang Lancang (IDBLL) and Krueng Geukueh (IDKGH). Located in the PT Arun Natural Gas Liquefaction area or the Arun gas field, there you can see the flames dancing in the Gas Flaring.

Silhouettes chatting against an orange sky background. They waited for me to finish taking photos, then in unison they shouted, "Let's go home."
