Visiting Anfield on Sunday (17/1/2021), MU succeeded in reducing Liverpool 0-0. The Red Devils were more depressed in the first half, but got aggressive after halftime. Four of the seven attempts that were created led to Alisson's goal although it was saved.
However, these results are enough for the Red Devils to maintain the top of the standings. MU collected 37 points from 18 matches, three points more than Liverpool who collected 34 points.
However, there is a score that MU is less proud of after the 'glasses' score on Merseyside. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's troops have not even won the duel against the other top four; Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Manchester United have won three draws, all goalless, against Chelsea, City and Liverpool. Two defeats were obtained when beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-6, and lost narrowly to Arsenal 0-1.
"They started better than us, but our second half was better. We created the best chances, and on another day we can win," said Manchester center-back and captain Harry Maguire after the draw at Liverpool.
