Acting Regent of Bireuen Aulia Sofyan PhD accompanied by Head of Kota Juang District Musni Syahputra SIP MEc Dev and Acting Keuchik Junaini Amd, Thursday (18/7/2024) harvested shallots covering an area of ​​1,500 meters in Lhok Awe Teungoh, Kota Juang.

Shallots is a food security program funded by village funds. Juang City Subdistrict Head Musni Syahputra SIP MEc Dev said after the first harvest that the shallot harvest was a food security program funded by village funds.

The planting area is 1,500 meters with a budget of IDR 29 million, a source of food security, the onions produced are sold to the market of course at the appropriate price. This is a good example of implementation which also uses technical officers and is monitored by the Agriculture and Plantation Service, so that the results are good.

"Furthermore, the Head of Kota Juang Subdistrict will provide socialization for other gampongs to utilize food security funds in their respective gampongs so that they can be efficient and effective," he said.

The Acting Regent of Bireuen, Aulia Sofyan PhD, said that the shallot planting activity for the food security program was very good, so that village funds were not used up once but were able to grow.

"We hope that this activity can be an example for other gampongs in Kota Juang District as well as other gampongs in Bireuen Regency," he said.

Aulia Sofyan hopes that the program can be socialized so that it can be followed by other gampongs and the food security budget is used appropriately.
