Monday.

The sunny weekend daze is over. A few clouds and some light rain is back to paint this Monday in a suitable colour.

Actually it wasn't all that bad. The temps are staying mild and the sun did show up again in the afternoon and I got to enjoy it, taking a decent walk, too.

I wanted to start posting my reports much earlier tonight but then I got caught up in a rather intense discussion on @isnogud's discord hangout.

It's a private server with just a bunch of loose friends hanging out there. I posted a crypto youtuber's critique of my country's planned increase in military spending on the back of the ukraine war and that somehow sparked a fundamental debate about the justifications for war.

I'm a bit shocked to see how quickly the daily news-cycle propaganda has already convinced people I want to respect to fully support and embrace an increase of hundreds of billions in military spending.

More bombs for a peaceful world?!

Funny how the pictures of these old rusty freight thingies I took in the afternoon somehow fit the vibe of the discussion that ensued later, though.
