Wednesday.
Another wonderful summer day. Slightly cloudy in the morning which made the afternoon sun's heat less intense. Perfect for some walking.
After being gone for a little over a week it was time to check on my friend Ronald Raven the crow from the traintracks again. He seemed a bit surprised and shy at first, but he didn't hesitate too long to collect his peanut tax.
In the afternoon @isnogud joined me for a walk into the forest. I was walking behind him when he almost stepped on this well camouflaged froggy friend here.
The little toad barely managed to leap away from under his foot. Being so well camouflaged can come with its downsides I guess.
Neither of us would have noticed him in between the dried grass and leaves and I only saw him because he had to escape so suddenly and jumped right in front of my feet.
Speaking of well camouflaged animals, I also noticed a new inhabitant among grandma's balcony flowers.
Thanks for your time!
