My Actifitivity: October 8 2022

Saturday.

Not quite as sunny as the previous days, but still a very beautiful day.

I took a nice afternoon walk out into the forest. It's still peak fungi season and I'll have to show you more mushrooms everyday.

This is the so-called saffron milk cap, lactarius deliciosus. As the latin name suggests, it's a nicely edible mushroom. It is found all over Europe wherever pine trees grow.

The little orange dimples on the stem are a great indicator that you've got the proper specimen with the best culinary properties.

There's one more obvious criteria to identify this shroom, and it also points towards a rather curious side-effect.

But I'll save that as a teaser for one of the next reports.

The days are getting short.

Thanks for your time!
