My Actifit Report Card: May 4 2020

Had to take car in for service. Perfect opportunity to go for a bike ride and a walk in the bush. Riding up Pacific Highway at 8:30 am with no traffic was surreal. Stretched the ride out a bit to Berowra before turning back to cycle through Ku-ring Gai Chase NP down to Bobbin Head

This cormorant greeted me at Apple Tree Bay. Disappointed to see heavy strimming work on the track has wiped out a lot of this year's greenhood orchid crop. Take in the beauty of the place and forget that stuff - nature will bounce back

Did find some early buds on the helmet orchids - need to come back next week to see the full flower.

This little mushroom is less than half the size of a baby fingernail.

Struggled to get photos of the acianthus orchids until I got to the sunny part of the track. Pixie caps - acianthus pusillus

And bigger brother acianthus exsertus a little further along.

This mushroom under the rock caught my eye. We are blessed to have such beauty right on the doorstep.

Cycling effort was double what I normally do to get to Apple Tree Bay. My wife drove me to pick up the car = a break for her lockdown blues.

Dinner was a good old fashioned barbecue with some Dutch style veges. Beans came from the garden - all 9 of them. Wine from Milbrodale Road in Broke. I love cycling that road.

Trade action: Bought GILD and XOP. Remdesvir is going to be big for GILD. XOP did a split a while back and I want a round parcel to write covered calls. When the rebound comes, oil will pop.

I wonder what kind of shroom it was...

I am not a mushroom expert - orchids are challenging enough to identify. About 70% of Australian mushrooms have yet to be formally identified and classified, I understand.
