purely a few days ago I mentioned these land prices with the wooden huts.
Now I know a little more about it.

Such a plot should cost about 3000$. For this you get a plot fenced with barbed wire, plus the scaffolding of such a wooden hut, the way to it and the possibility to connect me to this bell wire of power supply.
Water, sewage there is not, you have to regulate with tanks, everything else too.
The magnificent view is there in addition. So far, so good.

People build their houses on it, either they tear down the wooden construction and build from stone or they complete the existing framework. They plant their bananas, their roots, their corn, keep chickens and can, after they have finished such a wooden house for about 3000$, provide for themselves.

The land itself is unused land of the public sector, that is, the state, which tolerates such settlements, because the people have to get along somehow and there are no social programs worth mentioning. But in principle it is illegal, you have no rights.
Should this land ever interest an investor, then the bulldozers come and that's it. Or if they do not develop the area in the sense of the state or the police, ditto.
Sometimes, however, the state grants land titles years or decades later. So it is a lottery, somehow

But it is only 7-10000 dollars, which one has already saved with the rent in 5-8 years. For the locals, this is a very good opportunity to get a property and thus to prosperity.

For foreigners like me, however, such a thing is unacceptable. Since it is illegal, one has of course also no legal claims on the house itself.
So it happens from time to time that the foreigner, who separates from his native wife and/or builds and lives alone from the beginning, leaves "his" house, and when he comes back from the beach, from shopping, from a visit home, someone else lives in it. And he then stays in it.
Tough luck, that's it.

Now one could come on the idea, one places oneself on such a plot a mobilehome, a living container, a prefabricated house, there are also completely, nice and inexpensive offers from China,
But here is the same problem. Although you can prove that the accommodation belongs to you, because you have the bills for purchase and customs. If someone else lives there, that's it.

So that is not an alternative. For foreigners with a small purse, the only option is to rent if you want to live here.

vor rein paar Tagen haben ich diese Grundstückspreise mit den Holzhütten erwähnt.
Jetzt weiß ich etwas mehr darüber.

So ein Grundstück soll ca 3000$ kosten. Dafür bekommt man ein mit Stacheldraht eingezäuntes Grundstück , dazu das Gerüst von so einer Holzhütte, den Weg dazu und die Möglichkeit mich an diesen Klingeldraht von Stromversorgung anzuschließen.
Wasser, Abwasser gibt es nicht, das muss man mit Tanks regeln, alles andere auch.
Die grandiose Aussicht gibt es dazu. Soweit, so gut.

Die Leute bauen darauf ihre Häuser, entweder reißen sie die Holzkonstruktion ab und bauen aus Stein oder sie komplettieren das vorhandene Gerüst. Sie pflanzen Ihre Bananen, ihre Wurzeln, ihren Mais, halten Hühner und können sich, nachdem sie so ein Holzhaus für ca 3000$ fertig gestellt haben, selbst versorgen.

Das Land selbst ist ungenutztes Land der öffentlichen Hand, also des Staates, der solche Besiedelungen duldet, weil die Leute müssen ja irgendwie klarkommen und nennenswerte Sozialprogramme gibt es nicht. Aber im Prinzip ist es illegal, man hat keinerlei Rechte.
Sollte dieses land mal einen Investor interessieren, dann kommen die Bulldozer und das wars dann. Oder wenn sie sich die Gegend nicht im Sinne des Staates oder der Polizei entwickelt, dito.
Manchmal vergibt der Staat allerdings auch Grundstückstitel Jahre oder Jahrzehnte später. Es ist also eine Lotterie, irgendwie

Aber es sind ja nur 7-10000 Dollar, die man ja schon mit der Miete spart in 5-8 Jahren gespart hat. Für die Einheimischen ist das also durchaus eine sehr gute Möglichkeit zu einem Grundstück und damit zu Wohlstand zu kommen.

Für Ausländer wie mich dagegen ist so etwas unakzeptabel. Da es illegal ist, hat man natürlich auch keinerlei Rechtsansprüche auf das Haus selbst.
So kommt es ab und an mal vor, dass der Ausländer, der sich von seiner einheimischen Frau trennt und/oder von vornherein alleine baut und wohnt, "sein" Haus verlässt, und wenn er wiederkommt vom Strand, vom Einkaufen, vom Heimatbesuch, wohnt da ein anderer drin. Und der bleibt dann drin.
Pech gehabt, das wars dann.

Nun könnte man auf die Idee kommen, man stellt sich auf so eine Parzelle ein Mobilehome, einen Wohncontainer, ein Fertighaus, da gibt es ja auch ganz nette und preiswerte Angebote aus China,
Aber auch hier ist das selbe Problem. Obwohl man da beweisen kann, dass die Unterkunft einem selbst gehört, weil man die Rechnungen für Kauf und Zoll hat. Wenn da ein anderer wohnt , wars das.

Das ist also keine Alternative. Für Ausländer mit kleinem Geldbeutel bleibt nur zu mieten, wenn man hier leben möchte.
