Hi guys and welcome to tonight’s report.
Being Friday, it was the last day of work for me this week. It was busy, but we had a couple of cancellations due to illness so it was a bit easier to get things done. It also helped that I got in to work 2 hours early to try to relieve some of the pressure I’ve been feeling. All in all-a good day.
After work, I headed to the grocery to pick up a couple of items. When I walked into the store, you might have thought it was a scene from the end of times. There were tons of people in our small town grocery and they were loading carts of groceries up. Frozen food shelves were barren; eggs and such-gone; beer-mostly gone: various other areas near empty. No milk! I have not seen this before in our small town grocery ever! People seemed frenzied. The governor has closed our entire state’s schools down until April 27th due to the corona virus. There is talk of the state’s borders being shut down as well. I’m not sure if that will happen but I did read where Trump has mentioned the possibility. I’m not really sure how that would work but if you can’t come in or go out, that would almost have to mean our supply chain would shut as well. I suppose we could all drive ourselves crazy with ‘what if’s’ so perpetration is half the battle and then we just need to wait and see. See what government officials decide and what the virus does and pray for the best outcome.
Consequently the outdoor hike didn’t happen. We are under a high wind warning and it’s blowing but it’s also very cold- too cold really to hike. We ended up shopping for a few things just in case we become shut in.
So, prepped, we are and hoping for the wind to die down too. Now, we wait.

We have strong winds here as well. It is supposed to rain tomorrow. Fortunately for us here, my local grocery close to my home is well stocked, as of yesterday, and not as much frenzy as what my friends have experienced shopping in Costco. The good thing is that I am prepped already, and have continued to build my inventory before all this panic buying has occurred, including face mask 😷! I am not surprised that you are prepped too!
