Friday night walk in Mexico City

Yesterday we decided to take a walk at night with Penny Lane, our dog. It was the first time in a couple of weeks that didn't rain.

So we took advantage of it and went out to stretch our legs and get some air.

Ayer decidimos salir a dar un paseo nocturno con Penny Lane, nuestra perrita. Fue la primera vez en algunas semanas que no llueve durante el día, así que aprovechamos la ocasión para estirar un poco las piernas y tomar algo de aire

September is kind of the Mexican month because it the month that we celebrate our independence.

And because of that many buildings and monuments are decorated with green, red and white lights, the colours of our flag.

Septiembre es el mes patrio porque es el mes en qué celebramos nuestra independencia. Y por eso algunos edificios y monumentos se decoran con luces verdes, blancas y rojas que son los colores de nuestra bandera.

This is Penny Lane our 10 year old rescue dog. She enjoys her walks and sometimes she let us take good pictures of her. This is not one of those times.

Esta es Penny Lane, nuestra perrita adoptada de 10 años. Ella disfruta mucho de sus paseos y algunas veces no deja tomar buenas fotos de ella. Está nones una de esas ocasiones.

Usually the government put some commemorative lights in the streets to celebrate our nation. And one important part of our nation are the native cultures.

This one represent an Aztec Eagle Warrior, I think. And it is great that we pay respect to our ancestors, but I think is not a sincere thought of our government is making a lot of announcements about them, but they are not making anything to help our indigenous people.

Normalmente el gobierno pone un alumbrado alusivo al mes patrio en las calles para celebrar nuestra nación. Y una parte importante de ella son nuestras culturas nativas.

Esta representa a un Guerrero Águila Azteca, creo. Y me parece excelente que hagamos homenaje a nuestros ancestros, pero creo no es una actitud sincera de nuestro gobierno. Porque actualmente habla mucho de ellos, pero no veo que hagan nada para ayudarlos.
