My Actifit Report Card: April 4 2022

Dear friends

I live in a city located on the shores of the Caribbean Sea, whose industrial activity is oriented to the processing of oil and its derivatives, supported by a commercial and tourist offer as a complement.

As a result of the readjustment of the oil markets and the lack of investment, commercial activity has become increasingly important. New spaces such as supermarkets, the now called "Bodegones" where imported products from other countries are offered and are only available to a small number of people.

Something that is striking is to see closed stores, due to the current economic recession, waiting for better times.

Of course, the above description does not compare with what we are currently witnessing first hand with the destruction of cities and towns in Ukraine, which as a result of the war, its inhabitants have been forced to emigrate, change their residence, or even die.

Today I ask you to say your prayers before Almighty God so that with His mercy the longed-for peace in the world may be achieved.

Vivo en una ciudad ubicada a la orilla del mar Caribe, cuya actividad industrial está orientada al procesamiento del petróleo y sus derivados, sustentado en ella se dispone de una oferta comercial y turística como complemento.

A raíz del reajuste de los mercados petroleros y la falta de inversión, la actividad comercial ha tomado una creciente relevancia. Al ofrecerse nuevos espacios tales como supermercados, los ahora llamados "Bodegones" en los que se ofrecen productos importados de otros países que solo están al alcance de un reducido número de personas.

Algo que llama la atención son el ver locales cerrados, debido a la recesión económica actual, en espera de tiempos mejores.

Por supuesto, la descripción anterior no se compara con lo que actualmente estamos siendo testigos de primera fila con la destrucción de las ciudades y villas en Ucrania, que producto de la guerra, sus habitantes se han visto obligados a emigrar, cambiar de residencia, o incluso morir.

Hoy les pido que digan sus oraciones ante Dios Omnipotente para que con su misericordia se logre la ansiada paz en el mundo.
