About the Crypto Series of Poker
I really like the format of these tournaments! The main reason why is that you don't need a huge investment to have a real shot at taking this whole thing down!
The 3 biggest tournaments at the end of this series will have a deep stack freezout format. And I really like that! The unlimited re-buys in their other promotion "Bike ride" is the reason why I don't participate in it. I can afford 10k CHP buy-in, but I hate to loose it 3 times in a row with a 70% hand xD And some dude with deep pockets can keep making 2x rebuys and at the end finish in the money.
Also, I think that there will be a lot of value in quite a few of these tournaments. For example they are projecting guaranteed prize pool of 100 buy-ins for their KO tourneys. And I think that there will be a max of 65-70 players that will play in those (so ~30 buy-ins worth of additional value). Of course I might be wrong if they will promote this hard.

If you think that getting to the top 10 is impossible - think again. I am far from the best poker players and I finished in the top 5 of their weekly Galactic Grinders leaderboard every week for the past 3 or 4 months. The trick is to play a lot of tournaments and finish as high as possible ;)
Leaderboard points are calculated using the following formula: 10 (√ (Number of players) / √ (Place)) (1 + LOG (Buy-in + 0.25)).
The series starts on the 22nd of March! So there's still some time to sharpen your skills!
