I need a new switch for my pottery wheel. Since the stores are shut down except for essential supplies, and the fact that we are not supposed to leave home unless it is for food or medicine, I cannot replace this faulty switch.
I have tried to rewire it three times without all of the equipment that I need. This is a very old pottery wheel and the switch has been shorted out.
I replaced the cord with a new cord and I also replaced the connectors but the only operating position is high. The switch should toggle between high, off and low. I worked on rewiring the switch using the materials that I have available to no avail. I may just throw clay on high to see how far I can get.
I will be able to center the clay, but shaping the clay will not occur on a fast revolving wheel.
I will check to see if I can order the part that I need online.
It may take a while to be delivered, but I have a lot of time available.
