Not an active day but I'm posting anyway.
I wasn't feeling that great and I fell asleep early before I would have gone out for my nightly walk. So my activity was just from whatever movement I typically do around my place.
So why post this crappy activity count at all? Well let's talk about Survivorship Bias.
Survivorship Bias is when you think certain things are common because of the way they are presented.
For example if I only post here when I have high activity someone might assume I always have high activity! Because if Only post when I have high activity and do not post when I have low activity, the data of my low activity days do not survive into the set of data you are able to observe on my blog.
Point being, its better to have an accurate set of data about my activity even with low activity days recorded because it gives a more accurate picture of my overall activity.
I think on social media people generally only post positive things about themselves and that can actually have a negative psychological effect on others who feel they aren't as good as everyone else. Remember that we're generally not getting an accurate picture of people's lives from social media because only positive things survive the person's selection process of what to post!
I wish you a great weekend! ❤👍❤
